Walkthrough for Brainstorm Dial-Up Account with Windows 95

This is a step-by-step walkthrough for configuring your computer to use your Brainstorm dial-up account. If you have any problems call us at 247-1442 in Durango or 326-1010 in Farmington . We are open Monday thru Friday from 8am-10pm and Saturday thru Sunday from 9am-6pm. Thanks for using Brainstorm Internet!

 

Windows 95 Dial-Up:

•  Double-click on My Computer

•  Double-click on Dial-Up Networking

•  Double-click on Make New Connection

•  Enter Brainstorm where it says My Connection for the name of the computer youÕre dialing.

•  Click Next

•  Leave the area code blank and here is a list of Cities with there corresponding dial-up numbers
Durango: 247-7798
Farmington:716-4042
Grand Junction:241-0044
Montrose:240-2794

•  Click Next

•  Click Finish

•  Right-click on your Brainstorm Icon connection

•  Then left-click on Properties

•  Make sure the checkbox on the bottom that says Use Country Code and Area Code is unchecked.

•  Click on the Server Types buttons.

•  Make sure that only Enable Software Compression and TCP/IP are checked.

•  Click on OK on the bottom

•  Right-click on the Brainstorm Icon again and then left-click on Create Shortcut

•  Click on Yes when the window pops up.

•  Close the dial-up networking window by clicking on the X on the upper right hand corner

•  Double-click on the Shortcut to Brainstorm icon on your desktop

•  Type in your username (ex: username@gobrainstorm.net ) and password

•  Click on Connect and this will establish your internet connection.

•  Open Internet Explorer to surf the web or open Outlook Express to check your email. You can also check your email by going to www.gobrainstorm.net and clicking on the link for webmail.
